To use the Multigraph utility, choose the command "Multigraph" from the Utilities Menu. The menu bar will disappear, and the multigraph utility will fill the screen. This utility allows you to easily draw the graph of one or more functions on any interval, xmin <= x <= xmax. You can also specify the range of values for the y-axis, or you can leave ymin and/or ymax blank and allow Multigraph to use the largest and smallest values it finds on the graph.
Simply enter the formula for the function you want to graph in the text-entry rectangle on the bottom of the screen and click on the Graph button. (You can also simply type "g" while holding down the command key.) You can clear the drawing area by clicking on the Clear button. You can display more than one graph at the same time, up to 25. Simply draw the graphs without Clearing. If you would prefer to have the draw area cleared automatically before each new graph is drawing, just check the "Clear before graphing" checkbox by clicking on it.
When the program first starts up, ymin and ymax will be blank. If you draw a graph and then clear it, ymin and ymax will be reset to blank. However, if you explicitly change the value of ymin or ymax, the value you enter will remain when the graph is cleared. (I have tried several strategies for controlling ymin and ymax; this one is not perfect, but it seems to do what I want most of the time.)
